Other volunteer staff may be present at Kindergarten & Pre-Prep during your child’s stay with us. You will also, more than likely, meet student-teachers during the year. These students are currently studying at university to become teachers. During their training, they are placed at education facilities to practice what they have learned at university. They are graded on their performance on areas such as the quality of their program, suitability of activities, relationships with families, children, staff and their communication skills. Your support to these student-teachers is vital to their results for their studies.
Any volunteers that we have at the centre will be there to support staff and children during the daily program which will consist of: – setting up learning experiences, joining in on the activities, and tidying away of equipment and supplies. Remember, families are welcome volunteers also.
